5th Grade

What we are doing the week of May 13 - 17, 2019
*We always appreciate donated tissues and hand sanitizer.  The students go through them quickly!

*Hopefully you all have received information a couple of weeks ago sent home with your student about our upcoming “Instrument Petting Zoo.”  This is an opportunity for your student to come to the middle school and try out all the instruments we offer in 6th grade beginning band!   The open house style event is THIS WEDNESDAY, May 15 from 6-7:30 in the HS Commons.  Please bring your student and stop by whenever it is convenient for you.  The entire process can take 20-30 minutes depending on how many instruments they try and how long they stay to play J  You will also be receiving some info about instrument rentals and what students need BEFORE the start of next school year.

If you are unable to attend the event due to scheduling conflicts, please let me know.  You can always stop by Willis or Wert Music stores and they can assist you in trying out instruments there as well any time.

Again, Wednesday evening is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and your student to see what instrument they want to play in our 6th grade beginning band!  I’m super excited to get started on this new path….You’re kiddos have been awesome this year, learning to read music, and rehearse together with lots of other instruments.    This event is open to ALL current 5th grade students who want to join band next year, so bring a friend along for the fun!  See you all Wednesday!

We are using the Remind app as another form of communication. If you have not already signed up, please do so. Here are our sign up codes. You will text the code (include the @ symbol) to the number 81010.
